The Mid to Senior Research Analyst will engage with various academic disciplines to inform our strategies and grant-making. This role will work collaboratively with colleagues at the Foundation and the Institute on the technology and innovation issue area. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Research and develop an understanding of various academic disciplines to assess grant-making opportunities • Apply excellent written communication skills to synthesize research and recommend opportunities for the Foundation to support • Build collaborative relationships across the organization • Identify gaps and opportunities for grant-making that will advance the organization’s vision Qualifications and Requirements • An M.A. with academic or professional research experience preferred; concentration in economics, public policy, political science, history, or related fields preferred • Interest in the technology and innovation issue area preferred • Ability to analyze and contextualize scholarly publications • Demonstrated inquisitiveness and ability to explore new intellectual spaces • Robust written communication skills • Demonstrated ability to apply strategic thinking skills to organizational goals • Strong commitment to advancing freedom and well-being for individuals, communities, and societies • Works well in a highly collaborative environment Candidates will be asked to submit a writing sample.
